Maumee Real Estate Market – Spring is Here!
Although it is only mid-February, Spring is here….at least in the real estate market! The unseasonably warm weather and lack of major snowfall has started the hot real estate market earlier this year.
January activity has doubled at my Danberry office in Maumee this year as compared to last year. Buyers are definitely starting their searching earlier – and they should be with some of the lowest interest rates of all time! It’s probably the best time all year to get your house on the market!
If you have any questions about houses for sale in Maumee, I am your area specialist! Buyer, I can update you with houses for sale in Maumee as soon as they come on the market. Sellers, I can provide you with an analysis of the value of your home. Just contact me through the links section of this site for more information on Maumee real estate!
Ford Road closing starting this week
Ford Road, between Illinois Avenue/Maumee-Western and the Anthony Wayne Trail, will be closed starting this Wednesday the 15th for two weeks. Detours could include Kingsbury Road or Conant Street to the east or Monclova Road to Jerome Road to the west.
Although I have not heard an official reason for the road closing, utility work has been happening in the area and Columbia Gas trucks are often present.

New bakery and store in Maumee
As someone who loves to bake, I have often visited The Baker’s Kitchen across the river in Perrysburg. The store has gifts for cooks and bakers as well as unique items for the home cook. Plus, the store is home to Thrush’s Bakery with its incredible homemade cupcakes and pastries.
I was so excited while driving along Monclova Road that a new location was opened of the store and bakery. You have to look closely for the building when passing by, but once you are inside you won’t forget it again! The new store is even larger than the Perrysburg location and it has cookie and cake making supplies, an unending amount of kitchen gagets and high-end appliances and cookware.

Max and Erma’s is coming back to Maumee!
The Max and Erma’s restaurant in Maumee on Dussel Drive shut down several years ago. The building has remained empty and for sale since that time, but an announcement was recently made that the restuarant would be re-opening at the same location.
